He says so, right in this omake which I can't read but someone else told me whats said in it

My bad translation:

Panel 1:
Anne: "That's strange... from what they said the other night, there should be a village nearby."

Panel 2:
Piuy and birds: "Chun chun... chun"
Anne: "Piuy! Could it be that you're able to converse with the birds?!"

Panel 3:
Anne: "Isn't that amazing! What are the birds saying?"

Panel 4:
Piuy: "Don't know!"
Anne: "You don't know?!"

Big panel:
Piuy: "That's because I'm not a bird!"
Big text: "Somehow not a bird"
Anne: "Then what was all that just now!?"

The name of the manga is literally Helck

Obviously that would need to be changed as well.

I can't believe you guys are doubting the amazing Helck translator. How quickly the cub turns against the hand that feeds it.

To be clear, I'm not saying the translator got something wrong. I'm saying that the original Japanese author, native speaker of a language which contains neither "L"s nor "R"s, screwed it up.

In an ideal world, a native English speaker could sit down with him and say "Hey, is maybe this what you intended? Because what you wrote actually sounds like this," but that doesn't usually happen and so we get manga named Attack on Titan and directors named Simbo.
