The series that holds up best is probably the quest for glory series, and even that one is pockmarked with dead man walking scenarios and crap. Fortunately, by QFG3, the Coles generally had their act together, and I still maintain that QFG4 is the best adventure game of the entire 90s as long as you can set up an emulation scheme that eliminates the bugs.
