Something unique that Golden Kamui does that's so good: Sugimoto isn't just Sugimoto the Immortal to everyone else. He genuinely buys into himself being Immortal so hard that it's super infectious. He's so incredibly confident, it's really entertaining to read and a big part of why Golden Kamui rules. The entire cast is great but they're absolutely carried on the back of Sugimoto. What a great protagonist.

I just love how irreverent Golden Kamui feels. It's definitely taking itself almost seriously, but it never, ever abandons its sense of humor, and it's got that in spades.
