I have a theory that all the good writing staff jumps ship from show to show so them going from S2 Arrow-> S1 Flash-> S1 Legends makes absolute sense in how fun this is so far.

I would be shocked if the way out of this wasn't to kill the earlier version of the Pilgrim or Time Master elders. edit: ahahahaha younger Rip is great. Party Plane Jones fucked around with this message at 01:50 on Apr 22, 2016 |

How does Savage regenerate when he's offed by nonkendra people anyways? Does he just show up where he croaked or is he coming back from his ashes? You have a loving spaceship/timeship Rip. Dump him into the sun. Party Plane Jones fucked around with this message at 02:03 on Apr 29, 2016 |

The problem at this point is the writing staff is basically butter spread over too much bread for all 3 shows; their high notes are nowhere near as high as they were and their lows are digging through the bottom of the barrel.

FactsAreUseless posted:The Ray/Kendra thing is a shame because it's a really interesting idea for a time travel story. In the middle of their adventure, two characters took a two-year detour in which they fell in love, married, and had a life together. To everyone else it's like it never happened, so they have to figure out how to deal with it. That's a cool idea. Unfortunately, the fact that it all happened off-screen means we never really get a sense as viewers that it means anything, and the writing in this isn't good enough to pull it off. Farscape did a similar thing on a much longer timescale and it came across pretty decently (though much more hilariously as Ben Browder reverted to a southern accent for his old man scenes). If CW had one writer who could write scenes of the quality of any Harvey scene from Farscape they wouldn't be in this mess really.

The difference in budget between this and Marvel's series is rather unfortunate.
