You know, this is not a bad game and it's really pretty. But if you go into this game expecting it to be a true sequel to Super Mario World, with similar kinds of platforming and jumping on things and whatnot, you might be in for a bit of a disappointment. The egg-aiming mechanic seems to slow down the platforming, for instance.

That's why I find it hard to consider this game a mainline Mario game. Then again, Super Mario Bros 2 is really different from the others too.

Those 3D rolling things had really very simple textures, they were not much more than single polygons. I suppose that's really the limit of what the SNES can handle? I think getting 3D working on that must have been quite the challenge in any case.

I feel a need to post this excerpt from Wikipedia's 'List of common misconceptions' for Leave:

quote:

Vomiting was not a regular part of Roman dining customs.[100] In ancient Rome, the architectural feature called a vomitorium was the entranceway through which crowds entered and exited a stadium, not a special room used for purging food during meals.[101]

Leave, I suggest that before you try teaching your future kid anything, you read both the list of common misconceptions and the grand collection of Dad Jokes. Important stuff, that.
