So apparently Fry's parents called him yesterday and said they were proud of him. I didn't actually hear the call but these people sound like idiots. It's one thing if you can't really control your dickhead late-20's son, but some mild condemnation at least would be good. This is a guy who apparently responded to getting pulled over for a broken tail light, something that under normal circumstances would just result in a heads up to get it fixed, by screaming at the police officer, and delving deep into anti-government bs to explain how he's justified in doing so. Also apparently they had hamburgers still yesterday, so that kind of ruins my image of them trying to share one of those tiny Slim-Jims you can get out of a vending machine.

My dad is a corrections officer and one of the things that pisses him off the most is felons being rearrested in possession of a gun, then a judge slapping them on the wrist for it. If a felon gets busted with a firearm they need to spend a few years in prison at least.

Fry is getting video out again. The FBI told them if they keep "fortifying" their camp it will just result in more charges. And of course because Fry is hosed in the head he responded about as badly as when he got pulled over for his taillight being out, badly. It's pretty clear that they've really trashed the place. I suspect someone is sneaking them supplies or else they wouldn't still be hanging on this long. Fry stuck a sticker or a magnet on one of the government vehicles claiming that it now belonged to the "Harney County Resource Center", then he drove a truck in a brave show of just how little he cares. Somebody in the comments compared him to Timothy Treadwell, which is apt except Treadwell wasn't nearly as misguided or stupid as Fry.
