Wow I just caught that race, what a fun finish.

Also am I the only one that kinda likes those stupid Dale Jr Nationwide ads?

Speaking of Jr, do you remember that time he spun Edwards in a loving Busch Race they were both whacking and was all "yeah, I wanted to win today :dealwithit:"

Was that when Edwards pulled a Cole Trickle and ran into Jr on his victory lap? I'm a Jr fan and don't really care for Edwards and I still thought that was awesome

Is anyone going here to Monadnock on the 21st? There's a 200 lap mod race and my wife is tired of being dragged to races there. Would love to talk about how much we love Trump and Brian France in person.

I wish, but I'm busy that weekend. The $10,000 to win Open Mod race at Seekonk last year was awesome.

This year they are doing that in June and then like a month later doing a $10,000 to win Pro Stock/Super Late Model race on July 13th and our series, New England Pro 4 Modifieds, will be a companion event to that. $10K to win in pro stocks at that track? Its gonna be a bloodbath. We raced late models there in the weekly series for like 5 seasons and that poo poo would get pretty rough sometimes. I like being in this little mod series a lot better. 15 races all spread out instead of every single week and a lot fewer accidents.

Yeah I'm hoping to make it to both of those. Mods at Seekonk are the balls as evidenced by this finish: https://youtu.be/o5zY15h30m8?t=10m49s I think I've shared it here before but it's awesome enough to watch again.

I know they scheduled the Pro Stock race for the Tuesday after Loudon in hopes of attracting some Cup/Xfinity drivers who might still be in the area, I wonder if they'll have any luck. I don't get to the Saturday shows as much as I'd like to but I remember it getting a little crazy, it's tough to pass without giving someone a boot.

I came in just after halfway but from what I've seen, this the best Dover race in years

Dover gets a bad rep but it produces some great races. The chase race from 08(?) was awesome as well

Yup, this one:

Anyone been to a Whelen Modified Series race? My local track (Meridian Speedway) has one in July. I figure for $10.50 a person it can't be too bad of a time.

Definitely go, the mods are the best racing in NASCAR.

Jeff Gordon says NASCAR was considering excluding the Daytona 500 from the new system before deciding in the interest of consistency that it also be broken into three segments.

They should have kept the Daytona 500, Spring Talladega, the Coke 600, and the Southern 500 as is without segments and awarded more chase points to the winners, with an added bonus if a driver wins all 4, Winston Million style. They can market them as honoring NASCAR's heritage and call them the "Crown Jewel" series. What harm is another gimmick thrown into the mix gonna do?
