Nostalgia4Butts posted:also realtalk Lady Gaga did the best national anthem performance since forever Best since Whitney Houston, easily. For some reason there's a Brady meme floating around about how Peyton's only two Super Bowl wins behind now. Which is kind of funny since Peyton handily owns basically every other stat you could use to compare quarterbacks. Yards/game, completion percentage, TDs/game, etc, and 5x NFL MVP vs 2. loving ride into the sunset Peyton, don't you DARE try to play another season.

Every person doing it after seemed to just use it as an excuse to hit really high notes for as long as possible while doing that dumb 90s R&B diva voice inflection. Gaga just sang it as it's written and did it without a single fault. She's a much better singer than she normally gets credit for

I used to hate Elway. But I developed some respect for him when I was listening to a radio interview with some random local radio show in Colorado Springs ages ago and they asked him if he could give anyone a Super Bowl ring who it would be, he didn't even hesitate when he just said "Jim Kelly".

Elway is a bastard that along with the broncos cheated the salary cap to win a superbowl and quit the game before he could feel any repercussions. He is a hell of a GM, it would seem. After getting his rear end handed to him for not having a defense and losing one of his stars due to his agent's inability to use a fax machine he built the monster defense that dominated the game yesterday. Every pass from Peyton looked terrible yesterday. He has no arm left or ability to muscle throws through. His interception and a lot of his passes that got knocked down would have been completed just fine if he could put anything into his throws. His mind is sharp, but his body is done.

I think it's to be expected that physical ability will be down a bit after having a surgery that almost mirrors the procedure for a broken neck. He's gonna be a killer offensive coordinator in a few years.

I don't think Peyton Manning will have to wait for a coaching job at all. It's been known since the Dungy days that Peyton ran the offense. Kubiak tried to change that but even he relented after a few games. Peyton's the greatest ever not because he had all the physical skills, but he's an offensive coordinator that was standing in the huddle. He's gotten amazing production out of pedestrian WRs and personally carried two teams to the superbowl that really had no business being there. Last night it was clear, though, that he's done on the field.
