Same, I got about halfway through the game and just ... stopped. Never picked it back up, so I'm looking forward to the adventures of rear end in a top hat sorcerer and browbeaten monsters.

Also reading, and enjoying! I think this is about as far as I got in my playthrough; I ran into difficulties against upcoming bosses and was nowhere near as lucky as you with drops. Also I didn't pay much attention to synergy between party members, so 'punch it in the face' isn't a viable tactic for long.
