On some website that sells arcade machines, the standard/premium delivery system is kinda cruel So if you get standard the driver just hangs out flicking cigarette butts at you and refuses to let you use his liftgate.

Classon Ave. Robot posted:Difficulty in planning isn't really ever the reason for bad transit in North America, it's usually hostility to the idea of public transportation in general. Car culture is super deeply ingrained and there is very rarely any budget being made available for people who ride transit (ie poor people, the disabled, people who give a poo poo about the environment, etc). Yeah "culture" aka lobbying from car companies.

Volcott posted:The balls, only designed to store pee, quickly degraded when filled with molten phenol. Had a classmate who got phenol exposure. He told the story basically saying that he was certain he would get cancer as a result. The plant he was working at gave you a choice when hooking up the train car to be filled, you either get a face shield or you get a respirator, not both. He chose the face shield. Well the linkage in the hookup to fill (maybe empty) the train car full of phenol failed and blew off blasting him in the face. He said his only saving grace was to tuck his chin and cover up his face (an old baseball reflex), but got totally coated in the stuff. Anyway, never work in chemical plants unless you're the evil owner in their bunker or whatever.
