In high school, my friends discovered they could make bombs out of a plastic bottle, foil, and toilet bowl cleaner. For some reason, they decided to try one out by placing it in one of those garbage cans that sit next to gas pumps, and then also parked nearby to watch the reaction. Thankfully, they hosed up the bomb. This same group of friends later did a drive-by paintballing of a party, only to discover immediately that the party was being thrown for a guy at our high school who had just survived getting his throat slit in a bar fight.
