Last Friday there was a showing of Saddest Music in the World here in Portland, with director Guy Maddin in attendance and Michael Hurley doing a 30 minute set before the film. It was dope. Penelope Spheris is coming here for some anniversary(?) showing of Suburbia and some short films some time this summer. Stoked. I caught when the same theater showed Decline of Western Civilization 1-3 with her in attendance.
I'm not really on top of this poo poo, but I like this thread.
