Fivemarks, you should really dip out of that community. It's never, ever worth sticking it out in that kind of atmosphere. I know we invest a lot in our characters over long running campaigns but the truth is there's always another group and another game out there, IRL or online, that is willing to not be assholes and you owe it to yourself to not waste your precious time dealing with people like that. Also, to the posters basically saying, "What do you expect from D&D nerds?", that kind of attitude is rancid and wrong and absolutely enables shitlords like those guys to feel like they can get away acting like that because that's the expectation. You need to change that expectation. Tabletop gaming as a hobby is more popular than ever and more inclusive than ever. There are great groups out there all over the place that are welcoming so never tolerate asshats, they need to get over their poo poo or need to see that no one wants to play with them any more.
