Level scaling is dumb. I guess you need it in something really non linear like SaGa but I have no idea how VIII was "supposed" to be played. It can still be fun to break the game in half and screw around though.

I felt my case and it was a million degrees so I took the side panel off. 5-10 minutes later things cooled down enough that the display was working right. The other guy had spent that entire time rebuilding his base from the one worker he had left so I went and destroyed it again.
