You can do something that's more like a leg press by putting your feet pretty far out in front of you but you'd be better off using an actual leg press machine.

Try changing your feet placement to minimize it but yeah that can happen depending on the machine. You're right to be careful


Why do the idiots in all these videos take the time to put on knee wraps if they're only squatting 6"??? How is that going to help at all? Where is the logic in the series of poor choices that lead to these videos?

Yeah more seriously the vast majority of strong people are pretty nice and helpful and less of them are on something than you'd think. Learn what you can from them. You're in the right environment to make crazy gains.

They're not necessarily bad but can stress your hips out over time. Better than something that'd definitely causing you pain.
