Since this is Gotham City, the city-wide evacuation is likely just another friday for the populace. :v:
I'm really looking forward to this LP since the issues the game had on PC convinced me to avoid it.

And of course, what happens if you miss with even a 'non-lethal' grenade round like smoke?

I would've used other examples than a 40mm 203 round hitting someone in the head at high speed, but the point is still valid: after all things like flashbangs, bean rounds and tasers are classified as less-than-lethal rather than non-lethal.

Batman/Bruce Wayne's parents are dead and have been since he was a little kid. :thejoke:

Well, here in Italy you can take both the theory and practical driving test without going to a driving school, although that is highly recommended and is how I learned how to drive properly.
Though my parents did teach me the very basics of driving before I went to one of these schools.

Since I'm not American, I don't have the relationship to the American Dream, but I honestly think Superman embodies it. In most continuities, Superman is an immigrant came to the land of the free, taught hard work and ethics by the salt-of-the-earth kindly couple that adopted him. Hard work got him a gig as a star reporter despite being a farmboy. Superman is an example about how everyone can become what they want if they work hard enough.

All that and he's a genuinely nice and principled guy when not in the hands of certain writers.
Which is also what I liked of Captain America in the Marvel movies so far.

There IS a game about this, it's called Republique! You are some sort of hacker guiding a woman through a heavily-guarded prison in an Orwellian dystopia, but you can see through the cameras, open doors and tell her where to try to go.
The multiplayer of Clandestine also works like that: you have the player in the role of the operative on the ground a la Sam Fisher and another player acting as the mission control hacker that has to juggle security cameras, direct the other player (since the field operative doesn't get a map) and access secure networks while avoiding being caught by the sysadmin.

Anyone else finds the bit to make the Knight appear threatening to feel like the writers were trying too hard?
"Mr. Wayne, this is a new state-of-the-art suit utilizing next-gen materials giving you the edge"

*couple of hours later*

"Ah, a new suit with new and more advanced materials. Despite never seeing something like this before, I know exactly where to shoot because I'm a super-special-awesome threat that knows everything about you and everyone should fear me!"

Plus I'm p.sure the Joker moved the gun on the table too.
I didn't notice that when I first saw the video, but I went back to check and that is indeed the case.
So my money is also on "Batman is tripping balls".

How long was the game not working on PC by the way?
WB stopped sales of the game for months, and according to various people it still hasn't been properly fixed.

So far this DLC looks fun and I'm liking what we've seen.

All I have to ask is where were the writers and level designers for DLC when the main game was being made? :sigh:

This DLC was apparently made by WB Montreal, the developers of Arkham Origins and not Rocksteady.
Well dang, they must've learned from their Heart of Ice DLC. I'm actually impressed with them.

It feels like the APCs have 3-4 times the health I would feel comfortable giving them to avoid making the thing drag on, though having them take double damage after the escorts are down seems to help.
Also I wish we had a bit more of this Two-Face in Arkham City.

Hey, Johnny Charisma is Michael Rosembaum. It's always nice to hear him in a DC production, even if he's no longer the Flash.
Speaking of, the expression when he asked he Batman wanted an encore was great.
Too bad the game went turbogrimdark soon afterwards.

Ivy's death wouldn't have been too bad on its own, but in the context of the games I find is another pretty bad move, both because of how the more important female characters have been treated so far, and how Ivy has been treated in the previous two games.
It makes it feel like someone at Rocksteady really didn't like her.

And then the actual ending :ughh:
Gordon running for mayor was a nice touch, Barbara marrying Tim (was that Tim in the photo) was nice, and then they gently caress it up horribly with grimderp Bats using Scarecrow's toxin. God loving drat it.
That bit right at the end ruins it: there are other ways they could've gone with it, some of which clichèd but that would've still been better.
Bat-demon was just dumb.

Can't say I'm a big fan of the Red Hood.
Also wasn't one of Black Mask's characteristics that he's basically fearless? He looked like it in Origins.
The Robin section looked fun with good dialogue and it's nice to see someone actually not aiming straight at the shield when shooting at Robin, though it's a shame that the way it's framed is that Two-Face shot the shield away with the first bullet instead of just shooting straight at the exposed foot. :v:
