the sky isn't blue, OP, the sky is clear and we only see it as blue because of cultural perceptions. if you look in old literature written before blue existed as a colour concept, you find a lot of people describing things like the sky and the sea with very diff colours (only specific one coming to mind is a text where the sea is described as wine-colored) and children who haven't been told the sky is blue don't answer "blue" to being asked what colour the sky is. often, they won't have an answer at all because hey, it's clear, ain't poo poo for colours there HTH
