Well yeah, I use that kid, fly to Fushia City and then fight a ditto using the Pokemon with the special stat corresponding to the index number, but to close the loop and get the Pokemon to show up I'd have to walk to the elite four from Fushia and beat all of them and watch the credits every time I wanted to catch one Pokemon. No thanks.
