Goffer posted:It gets voided, which is basically the only problem with the reform I don't see it as much of an issue, since that voter's ballot has been fulfilled to the extent they numbered and no further. Parties shouldn't be able to send your vote to the far reaches of idiot kingdom when they reach the end of your numbered boxes; it makes way more sense to void it than the potential problem of sending your vote to someone you don't like just because there was a preference deal you had no input on.

It should be abolished and replaced with a voluntary, industry led and funded, system that media producers can buy into if they think it will help with marketing. I'm probably not the best person to ask about book banning since I'd welcome an internet filter if it actually worked as described and blocked access to child pornography instead of the unrealistic clusterfucks that have been proposed thus far. I am literally Stalin.

I think at this point we're just going to have to deal with the F-35 and hope that after five or ten years of modification it resembles a workable strike aircraft. If we weren't so deep into this clusterfuck, we could have concentrated on what the RAAF really needs - F-111 2: Brain Damage Boogaloo.

NTRabbit posted:It won't ever be a workable strike aircraft. Other troubled aircraft have recovered from bad starts because the underlying design of the airframe was sound, only the systems on board were causing issues, and the airframes had room to grow through the problems and expand the capability of the plane. The F-35 is an unworkable compromise from the bottom up, with the design itself fundamentally flawed, and absolutely zero room to improve across a lifetime. If they can get it to turn it could be useful as a single use guided munition?
