so i'm terrible with many things, but human faces frustrate the most of me, as they usually end up devoided of expression. en trois quarts is the worst, because on top of that, i never can get the perspective right so i took a nab at that and after trying to draw a few from references, i gave up, then started scribbling and ended up with one better than any of those somehow. it's still absolutely abyssmal, but oh well  that kinda actually reminds me of my php teacher, sans the unhumanly creepy mouth

can I enter? I was going to do one thing every day anyhow. I did this today (March 1):  it's a quick sketch from life of my toddler, he was preoccupied by the tv for a couple minutes so i quickly got this down in his sketch book i also did this today  but stupidly saved over the big version Saint Isaias Boner fucked around with this message at 01:59 on Mar 2, 2016

 here's another one lately i've been obsessed with drawing really quick things, intentionally going as fast as i possibly can. it results in less detailed/impressive pieces, but there's something about it that appeals - i do think i could probably get better at drawing more quickly by going in heavier on the slow, deliberate referenced work though, realistically i can do way more clean and structured looking stuff than this, but it takes me a long time, and it can be stressful. something i've been grappling with! |
