I work for a website that helps kids find information and connect with colleges, and they sell the data to public/private non for profit schools (hilariously enough for profit schools are giant cheapskates and cheats who already do their own out reach anyway). They can also find information about and apply for scholarships from the site. sure im sending more kids to permanent debt slavery but who knows at least a couple may get a half/full ride thanks to us.

My work actually required software architects to be TOGAF certified. Then they needed someone on short notice and suddenly that whole 3 month certification process was no longer a requirement.

i work at an msp so we are all over the ethical map. our largest customer is a parks conservancy so we are pretty good there. protecting nature for future generations, nonprofit status, cool people. #2 is a financial firm that is just bilking the super rich but all finance is pretty bad. my favorite one is some employment lawyers that just sue companies for not paying overtime or not giving mandatory breaks. would you be able to rationalize away your ethics for a finance/politics job?
