I don't think that went very well for Trump (other than everyone else saying they'd support him), but Fox mucked it up by making it too obvious they were going after him. His response whenever someone asks him "How will you do X" is "Believe me when I say, I will do X magnificently." It's not going to fly in the general at all. It's a super transparent dodge, and he's just getting away with it because he's got a cult of authoritarians behind him pushing him through the primary with dreams of openly loving with minorities once he wins.
