I'm gonna miss you when you're gone.
I'm not usually into body horror (and especially literary fiction body horror) but Palahniuk's short story, "Guts," has stuck with me for some time as being especially haunting. Palahniuk's style isn't for everyone, as it's a dark humor that is often wrapped in trappings of masculinity (this story is about jerking off in new and exciting ways), but this story frequently comes back into my mind at random intervals.
