Well yeah, it doesn't have to be gross to be posted here. Just not food porn.

Just to piggyback on PCOS Bill's post, can we not have "Oh this looks ugly but it's actually super tasty" and "Ugh, this person made it wrong. My recipe is blah, blah, blah, no one cares" posts or, at the very least, none of those derails related to it.

This ladies meal is crazy, but she's 100% self aware about it and seems really cool. I can't really fault her and it doesn't look like it's unhealthy or anything from the look of her

That's the exact same feeling I get. Yeah, she spends hours eating food, but she isn't forcing it on anyone and knows she's eccentric, even amongst other vegans. Just a person living their herbivore life

Anyway, some "not so bad but still off" vegetarian/vegan pizzas

The top one is Tempeh sausage crumbles. Not too bad looking, but it's lacking the sweet, goeey cheese
The bottom is a more traditional veggie(supreme) pizza, with the yellow being a cheese sauce. But why does the bread always look so dry and disgusting*!?

*I know why, but I don't understand why they don't just use any of the other vegan bread recipes that I'm sure are available

Buckwheat pizza base ingredients:
1 cup buckwheat flour (you can buy buckwheat flour or make your own by blending whole buckwheat in the Nutribullet until it forms a flour)
¾ cup water
Optional: garlic salt, dried herbs, 1 tsp nutritional yeast

To make buckwheat pizza base:
1)Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius or 350 degrees Fahrenheit
2)Place ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir until there are no lumps
3)Pour the buckwheat mixture onto the center of a baking tray lined with non-stick baking paper. Use the back of a spoon to spread the mixture into a circle. You can control the thickness and shape of your pizza base at this point. You can make it thick by spreading it less or thin by spreading it more. 4)Make it a traditional round base or form it into a square or even heart shape using the spoon.
5)Place in oven for 15-20 minutes to bake until a few crack start to form on the surface and it’s not too soft.
IMPORTANT: Remove from oven and peel the baking paper away from you pizza base BEFORE you add your pizza toppings. You might find this easiest if you place it face down on a plate so the baking paper is on top and slowly peel the paper away.

Extremely cheesy sauce
1 ½ tbsp. nutritional yeast
4 ½ tbsp. coconut milk
½ cup cashews
1/2 tsp wholegrain mustard
Optional: salt or garlic salt

Place all ingredients in a small Nutribullet cup (or stick blender or another small blender unit) and blend until combined and smooth. You may have to stop and stir a few times to make sure everything is combining evenly.

Pinenut “parmesan cheese”
1/8 cup pinenuts
Salt or garlic salt and pepper to taste

Place all ingredients in a small Nutribullet cup and pulse for 1 second. Unscrew the lid and stir and then pulse for another 1 second. You do NOT want to blend too much otherwise it will combine too much. You want it to stay beautiful and crumbly like parmesan cheese.

This post is a cognito-hazard. I scrolled past that photo, read your post, looked back up, and promptly experienced vertigo.
So, good job :confuoot:

Anyway, searching tumblr for "gamer food" was pretty lucrative:

Those nachos remind me of high school nacho lunch day. And the cumberries* back there don't look too bad either.

*I'm guessing strawberries and whipped cream?
