Yeah, these games are seriously loving boss and I loved them. I can't say anything because I remember most of the cases too well, but dang, Phoenix Wright is a rad series.

One thing that has always driven me crazy about these games is that the law system is obviously not the American one. In America, the defense had the right to know about all evidence, speak to all witnesses, have copies of all legal reports like autopsies. I believe that's because Japanese law doesn't have the innocent until proven guilty concept, but if it's set in America... Well, it just bugs me.

Waffleman_ posted:Yeah, Ace Attorney has never claimed to be an accurate portrayal of the American legal system, they say as much in the manual. It's definitely based more on the Japanese legal system, being a Japanese game. They kinda explain it by saying it's the near future of 2016 and due to an increase in crimes, the legal system was reformed to crack down, but it went too far. Okay, two things. A, I said that I was pretty sure the legal system was based on the Japanese one, so y'all guys can chill. It's just a thing that bugged me... B, when I played through all the games up to Apollo Justice. God drat y'all jump on people's poo poo fast when they criticize the game.
