I have to ask, why bother with this machine? Don't get me wrong, I've restored equipment just for the pure enjoyment out of it- but on a machine made to hold tolerances, it just seems to me there are better machines out there for the cost/time/effort. I definitly appreciate your enthusiasm in restoring such a neat piece of history, my grandfather had a slightly more featured model I've always wanted to restore.

Evapo rust, Fluid Film, and Mobil XHP 222 should be investigated. Oh and Sherwin Williams Macropoxy Good luck!
