What I love is how electrum is actually a thing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrum I grew up thinking it was some kinda bs fantasy metal like Adamant, Orichalum, Mithril, etc. Imagine my surprise seeing it in a jewelry catalog one day. Now, granted, in worlds with magic and where "gold" and "silver" are perfectly acceptable choices for weapons and armor, it having different properties isn't a stretch.
