Its less that bossa is so drat good that they can just up and make an mmo, and more that they realized they were completely out of their depth and decided not to try. Instead they are just building an incredibly simplistic physics game on top of a licensed mmo framework. Most of the risk here is that the unproven voodoo tech they are building around just doesn't work, and that should be pretty apparent during the upcoming playtest.
