There was a variant designed but never actually built, afaIct, of a Chinook with a pair of 75mm howitzers strapped to it, for fire support missions supporting helicopter borne troops in Vietnam. It would have required pretty heavy reinforcement of the airframe, but would have been able to drop off both howitzers if needed.
