Couple of cool new QoL things I noticed:

-If you do a running jump that only moves horizontal (ie you dont fall during it), let go of the control stick before your feet hit the ground and you won't roll

-Under settings -> Sound and display, the HUD is set to On by default. If you set it to Auto, it works pretty intelligently in hiding and showing individual pieces of the HUD, like if you're sprinting and not in combat, only the stamina bar will appear, etc

I got the Lothric Knight chest piece and it looks awesome. Quality cape physics

I agree, some bosses like Pontiff and Abyss Watchers need more HP. Maybe I'm just used to the high-HP bosses from Bloodborne.

Pontiff still took me four tries because even though I killed him quickly, he could kill me quickly too.

Lot of weapons seem to have poise boost in the form of hyper armor while R2 attacking so not being knocked out of a heavy weapon swing doesn't really prove poise having an effect. There are some (human model enemy) attacks that just can't be interrupted like greatsword R2 swings.

At first I thought higher poise would just give you a higher tolerance for repetitive attacks but as videos prove, walking around in Smough set still has you flinch from undead pin pricks.

pretty sure everything with lightning damage already is a boss weapon or special weapon that cant be buffed or infused. something with a faith requirement like astoras sword might work good though

a good way to troll and farm souls is before you beat aldrich you use the "curl up" gesture in the bushes in ithiryll courtyard (with the giants) and pop a dried finger + seed of tree of giants and go do something else for awhile

I was looking at upgrades for lightning weapons, and the dragon slayer axe gets weirdly high AR when you give it another element, but I don't know if that will actually help me in the second phase. I may just try to nuke him down coward style like with the pontiff.
