I think the one thing I like about this show, besides the beautiful images of plants, is just how natural the characters seem. Especially with Chinatsu. The way she reacts to everything, reminds me of some of my students and my reaction is basically "Yup, that's totally how a 8 or 9 year old girl would act." Like, I don't follow much anime anymore, and 90% of stuff is fantasy anyways, but I can't recall another show where the characters just act like actual people. Also, Akane is the best.
