Hey Doc, I'm curious - did you ever get the graphics screen to use/state your actual amount of memory? Like, more than the 2 GB that is supposed to be the minimum requirement? Even with my rig built, in 2014 (with a GTX 760, 16 GB of RAM, and an i7) this game still chugs during heavy traffic, high-speed driving, and other stuff that the horsepower of the computer should be able to whip.

And right out of nowhere, Rockstar dropped a new patch for GTA4 last week. The first new update in YEARS and finally fixes that 2 GB VRAM bug. I haven't had the chance to give it a test-drive yet, but ICYMI etc etc.
