I think there must be because a majority of the Saturn catalogue never got translated so somebody has to be releasing romhacks with translations for English speaking people to play

It's cool that they chose PlayStation to launch a 3D platformer because there was no competition and they knew people would defend it by virtue of being the only option available

I never knew Atari made the first ever polygonal game, let alone it was produced in the early 80s that's nuts. The story is your a robot who needs to turn every blue square into a red one but jumping is illegal in the far flung big brother style future run by robots. So it's a puzzle game

Basically, the story begins about a year after D. Laura's on a plane somewhere and she's pregnant... Hmm... Actually, the story starts before this, during the Middle Ages. There was a feudal lord in Transylvania who desperately wanted a child to take over his country. He believed in the local superstitions that said that you could have child by sacrificing people by impaling them on stakes. The local people began to call him the Impaler King. Of course this was nothing but superstition, and he had no child. When his wife died, he became so desperate that he learned black magic and summoned the devil. He begged the devil to give him a child, that he would sacrifice his own life for one. The devil agreed and left Transylvania. The scene will change to the one I was telling you about before, the plane in 1997. The devil appears, surrounds the plane, and tries to crash it. Then he kidnaps Laura's baby. You can tell the baby disappears, because Laura's stomach becomes hollow. I think Laura dies in the plane too... The scene changes back to the Middle Ages and the crying of the baby fades in... That's the opening story. The main character of the game is Laura's child. When the child grows up, the devil returns to Transylvania to come calling for the Impaler King's life, and destroys the castle. The child then takes off for the adventure to kill the devil.

D for Saturn isn't that expensive and it apparently takes an hour to beat. Maybe I should get it

My understanding is that D is basically a movie, so it could be cool. It has a time limit of 2 hours so it can't take longer than that, or else you just fail and your file is done

was clicking around hg101 and found out that this unremarkable game:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJG_PChVygE

Was developed by a Spanish company named mercurysteam, who's next game would be Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, of all things. It's not important or anything but just a weird detail to stumble on, and I didn't know that Konami didn't develop los1/2, only published it

From the manual of this game "Firebug will stop at nothing to kill BATMAN. He can emit 600 million °C fireballs that will instantly dissolve anything into atomic pieces. he is definitely Batman's most powerful enemy besides THE JOKER."

Found near the mouth of a volcano. This fire-breather's body temperature is nearly 2,200 degrees Fahrenheit. In battle, Firebug blows out intensely hot flames from all over its body to intimidate its opponent. This villian's fiery bursts create heat waves that ignite grass and trees in its surroundings.

There has to be a website that catalogues old manuals, right? Because my understanding is a lot of those were pumped out by the English team with 0 input from the original designers most of the time so they just made crap up.

Bao

A little boy with a stupid hat and dumb pants. Bao also has psychic powers similar to Athena and Kensou, and fights alongside them. He has an insanely annoying voice and is one of the most reviled characters in King of Fighters.

Sega Saturn emulation is a bit further along than Nintendo 64 emulation. The emulator you're looking for is called SSF and last I tried it, which was a few years ago, it had pretty good compatibility with most games. Not all, mind, but most.

The weird thing is that it's at the forefront of its field but made in Japan. BSNES, KEGA, MAME, pSX and Project64 are all made somewhere in the west.
