how do i get good at recognizing puyo chains? is there a good tutorial vid out there?? i can make them sometimes but it's inconsistent and there's never really a method to how i play as there is with tetris, puzzle fighter, etc.

this is a good summation but pretty much all of the excuses you cited exist in fighting games too, people are perpetually blaming tier lists when they lose a matchup, lag gets brought up ALL THE TIME in online play and every fighting game player ever has gotten pissed about random wakeup supers or a 'psychic' dp
