presta will never replace schrader. it's much more fiddly and the only advantages are that it's narrower and you can get it to higher pressure with a lovely hand-pump, both of which are basically only relevant for bikes

what is unclear about "lovely hand pump". the spring mechanism for schrader valves increases the amount of force required to get the tire up to a certain air pressure. this is entirely irrelevant for a pressure gauge or any mechanism for forcing air into the tire less lovely than a $10 piece of plastic that is optimized for being cheap and light over actually working. even a good frame-length pump is enough to make the difference irrelevant, but that adds precious grams to the bike
