Something could happen to Muslims because they're already a minority distrusted by the General population. It's important to separate Islamic scripture and teaching, from Muslim people. Was the shooter influenced by Islam? Probably. was this the work of the Islamic community in Orlando? No

Excuse me as I roll my eyes at the dogpile of the "straight, ignorant berniebro" Anyway, that story from Russia is pretty loving terrifying. Where are we safe? The argument that marriage has baggage doesn't really hold up. Marriage is heavily inter-twined with the idea of a mutually beneficial, consensual, relationship in the west. It's historical meanings and implementations, while not utterly irrelevant, do not have much bearing on how the word is used today.
