If your life sucks and its in spite of an honest attempt to improve things, its right to give up because the concept of free will does not exist. People who parrot ideas like mind over matter, psychology, or grim determination are merely fortunate that their body and/or brain hasn't given them a truly lovely burden to deal with - and further more, are wildly disconnected from and unable to perceive the perspective of people like you and me. Decisions and measures that get you ahead or behind in life are determined by physiological factors that can be very difficult to influence, as is every single health malady - physical or mental. You need to realize when you've lost against the hand nature has dealt you because fighting it will only make you more miserable.
