Anyone who thinks OMG Castro = Latinos become democrats forever is engaging in the same sloppy identity poitics thinking that Republicans engage in (which leads to poo poo like Rubio thinking he can win latinos). If Hillary picks Castro, and that's something of a big if because he has quite a few negatives, then it'll be for reasons beyond young/latino.
