Yeah, overall she's a really good choice. Not top of the A-list yet but a good actress coming off an Oscar and on the upswing of name recognition.

I think it wasn't so much that people loved Affleck's portrayal in this movie, but more that you could see the potential of a great Batman movie with him paired with a competent director and script?

Like he did the best he could with the material he was given which was unfortunately written and directed by someone with a fundamental Misunderstanding of the character. There's only so much you can do as an actor in that scenario.

I enjoy most of the Bat family more than Batman himself as well. Dick, Tim and Damian are all great characters in different ways.

I think one of the problems though is that DC hosed up the Batman & Robin dynamic, which works best as one of contrast.

This is why it was great when Dick was Batman, because him and Damian as partners is an interesting reversal of the dark/light Batman/Robin dynamic. It's also why the Bruce/Damian dynamic doesn't work, because they're both just moody and violent.

Basically what I'm saying is DC should have kept Damian partnered with Dick as Nightwing's "Robin" and kept Tim as Robin paired with Bruce.

I know it's all but confirmed that Vulture is the villain but I'd love to see Scorpion in a movie, I thinks he's an underused villain in general.

Yeah, I've been excited for the movie but all the press stuff of Jared Leto torturing his co-stars by giving them dead animals and used condoms as gifts is really off-putting, regardless of whether they're true or not.

Juggalo tattoos aside, I was giving them the benefit of the doubt with this portrayal of the character. Nicholson's Joker was very much a gangster type and that's an interpretation that's been used before, so a more modern version of that makes some sense. But the hosed up "method acting" narrative they've been trying to create around the production just makes it sound like Jared Leto is insufferable at best, and an abusive creep at worst which really turns me off the movie.

Looks like Yondu's mohawk is taller and more fin-like like it is in the comics instead of the short flat one from the first movie.

Why the hell did they throw all that extra detailing on Batman's costume? the one from BvS was about as perfect as I thought a film Batman costume could be largely because of it's simplicity. Those bullshit six-pack armor plates look awful

All those costume would looks so much better if they held back on making everything so textured and had some flat areas for contrast. They're all so goddamn busy, except for Wonder Woman's. They make the Injustice suits look restrained in comparison.
