Wow, this is great. What does Necrodancer play like?
Turn-based roguelike, but everything is done to the beat of the songs. It's really good. Like it's a very well-designed roguelike even without the rhythm elements, and it has a lot of ideas I hope other games borrow from it. I think it's great.

its a good game but im not super good at traditional roguelikes lol. theres a character that lets you play levels at your own pace without the rhythm stuff and it's still pretty loving hard
Bard (no rhythm) is harder than Cadence, because enemies won't act on their own. So you were actually holding yourself back. With Bard, enemies only act when you move, but there are a lot of situations where being forced to move will get you hurt or killed, but standing still, sacrificing your multiplier, and letting an enemy approach is the best option.
