Living the Dream
It's kinda bad (the mangaka actually shitcanned an entire arc as he was starting it because he felt it was going to turn into a battle manga) but I thought of Hell's Kitchen after someone reminded me that Soylent is still a thing.

Hell's Kitchen has a more realistic antagonist for one of its major arcs than Shokugeki No Souma in the form of a science department that wants to replace cooking/food in general with premade ration/food bar type substitutes created almost entirely with just chemicals/derived nutrients, using scientific processes to recreate the taste/texture/smell of good food so it's not entirely joyless.

You know, as opposed to food Hitler.
