I have a microphone but how do you get the backing track to sync with your vocals?

Windows 98 posted:Just record your vocals in audacity while listening to the instrumental. I meant how do you combine the two so its not just a recording of my voice. I suck at computers for the most part lol.

Windows 98 posted:Open the track in Audacity. make sure your mic input is set properly. Hit the record button. It will automatically create a new track and also play the instrumentals at the same time. When you are done just hit Stop and export the audio. Oh cool. Thanks brah.
