Better link: http://zaber.com.pl/sentry/

The back of the PSU is inside the case for some reason? That blue cable appears super sized USB connectors.

A number of DAN cases opened up again, I kind of wonder why so many on the other forum have bought components already when it is like 4-6 months to ship.

Well the DAN A4 kickstarter finished, let's see how long they'll take to ship.

Standard fair for the DAN A4-SFX appears to be something like this: (plus $279.39 for the case)

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($345.99 @ B&H)
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG C7 40.5 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus MAXIMUS VIII IMPACT Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard ($234.99 @ SuperBiiz)

The memory speeds always a look a bit bogus above DDR4-2133 for making any difference ($139.99), and for today the Intel Core i5-6600K ($238.99) hits the good enough category. The motherboard depends on whether you want USB 3.1, everything else looks a bit moot, there does not appear to be any mini-ITX Thunderbolt boards yet. I'm not saying anything about the GPU :homebrew: See how this changes in the next 6 months when the cases ship.

NewEgg sells the ASRock Z170 ITX for $130, there's no need to spend $235 on the Asus: http://www.ebay.com/itm/381428803102

The only thing is it missing is the M.2 slot and if you have to have that, the "Gaming" version of the ASRock has it and it's still cheaper.

And USB 3.1, all the other Z170 based boards are cheaper than that Asus.

A lot the parts listings I see only spec out 16GB not 32GB which seems a bit strange considering the minimal price difference whilst getting the i7-6700K and a GFX 1080.

Does Vimeo still not support HTML embed? This should be the Linus review of the Dan A4 case:

Presumably the "budget" version (CLP0556-B) has been there a while, i.e. more vendors not having a clue how to use Amazon.

Anyone received they DAN/A4 yet? Looks like the thread on OCP forums is looking at creating a new low-profile heat sink and fan.

Finally got my Dan A4 today and it's a pretty slick package, definitely has the Lian Li quality. It also weighs virtually nothing so I thought the box was empty when it arrived.

:hfive: Just opened mine today, pretty sweet. Now to get something to fill it up.

The only expensive part of the A4 case is the 3M cable and so random Chinese company uses a cheap ribbon instead, so you are not going to get great PCIe performance I would guess:

So I have an empty Dan A4 case and want to put something in it for playing TF2 & Overwatch, possibly Valkyrie EVE, idk. In current usage is a Macbook AIr with GeForce NOW, I have a special config that makes TF2 not slow, but Overwatch in Parallels is terrible so I use GeForce NOW for that but performance is volatile. Budget around $2k in the US and I would like to continue using my Apple Thunderbolt Display (1440p).

The "HardForum" has a few example pricing sheets:

Probably something like the "High-End" (the one in the middle) would work as the fatal-one-ty motherboard has Thunderbolt support?

I have a big hard-on for the Dan Case A4-SFX, but it won't be in stock new until July it looks like (hopefully, who knows how long it may really be with how hosed everything is), and the only people selling them online are adding hilarious markups to used ones.

I have an unused Dan A4 case from the first Kickstarter campaign I should give away. I just use a MacBook and random work junk these days.

PM me if anyone wants the case.
