Whoever suggested the metal fan in marketing will be insufferable for the forseeable future if the metal fan catches on.

The C4 is so good. Just wait for the V2 that he announced. I just rebuilt in with a 7800X3D using the recommended Noctua NH-D12L, 140mm fan for exhaust, 4090 FE, and two NVME drives. It really is a joy to build in, the attention to detail and rigidity are great. My favorite part is the exhaust ramp to duct out hot air coming out of Founders Edition cards, that also works as an anti sag bracket.

I’m not sure it’s worth the price premium over an NR200, which is already a very nice case. But if you are an enthusiast who enjoys building and optimizing your PC, the Dan C4 is a joy.

Yeah I was smitten with the case. I do wonder how v2 will manage less volume when the 4090fe's connector was already having issues and a lot of 4090 aib's wouldn't fit. To me if anything volume should go up to allow for bigger cards and the dh15.

presumably it’s the decoupled impellers and not the metal frame that does the magic? either way i am extremely owned as a noctua fanboy since they are incapable of doing a design in a sensible number of years

hopefully someone does a passable 92mm thin fan with this gimmick

I want one of the pc fan makers with all their research into impellers fan blade sciencey stuff to release a box fan sized fan for me to use in my office and change the blinky lights with bluetooth.

This but real: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvdLey-8HTY

I feel like the Terra would pair with an external radiator real well.

I had no idea small form factor computers were a thing. If I was looking to spend about 400ish in filthy, useless Canadian dollars on a machine that could realistically do the following:

- Run basic music producing software like FL Studios and not have my beautiful music tracks stutter because I have like, a few samples and some VSTs loaded at the same time.

- Run basic image editing software. Nothing too crazy, just something that won't lag when working with a .pdf file that has more than a few layers

- Run basic games that aren't necessarily graphic heavy. I'm not an intense gamer but poo poo like minecraft shouldn't run at at 12 fps

For context I've been using a broken down HP floor model laptop with a busted screen, loose keys. It's a pathetic situation but I've still manage to produce ART. I just want to do it more efficiently at a reasonable price. What should I be on the lookout for?

ETA Prime has a whole slew of videos going over AMD versions of NUC's over the past 2 years. Look for a video of one that interests you and price check it in Canuckistan. Minisforum makes lot of these small form factor machines.

Serve the home likes the Beelink GTR7 and has a lot of other videos on sff prebuilts, so his videos are worth browsing too.

Or you got something like the Asrock Deskmeet, a $170 barebones pc.

Here is a Beelink SER5 for $340

Basically the last 2 or 3 years have seen a whole bunch of AMD powered NUC sized computers hit the market. Some of them can even do light gaming.
