A “gamer” is someone who bases a large part of their identity on the fact that they play games. I think it's pretty dumb to plaster that kind of label on yourself, because being known only by virtue of your gaming habits is pretty limiting. I like movies, but I don't wrap my whole identity up in the fact the I enjoy film. I like games, but I would never call myself a “gamer.”
