Speaking of Armin Shimerman, I'd like to highlight his work in the year 1997, when he appeared on DS9, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and SG-1.

Think about it: there are people who watch TV and don't even notice continuity errors or retcons, let alone take part in overly polarizing discussions about them.

Star Trek: The Motion Picture is a boring movie

The General posted:

This weeks Disco might be the most boring episode of Star Trek. It's honestly impressive how many shits I could not give for the episode.

The whole season is loving dumb. Every episode:

"We need to find the clue!"
"They have the clue!"
"We found the clue!"
"We don't know where to look for the next clue!"

It's absolutely terrible writing and I'm glad this show is going out with such a loving stupid season arc.

At least every episode feels like an actual episode instead of just a smear of seasonal plot.

Only the time-jumping episode felt that way. And it had already been done in the Mudd episode from season 1 (also Voyager’s “Shattered”)

Finished Discovery season 4, it came really close to having a Star Trek episode at the end with the translation stuff and the first contact, but man the rest of the season and especially that first episode opener with the loving moth people chase, jesus christ, also I hope that stupid transforming ship never comes back.

I'm iffy about giving the first episode a pass on this, but I'm going to. The one on the desert planet, or the one where they set the season up :v:
Second episode I just don't remember at all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Third episode is the one where they go to Trill.
Fourth episode is the one with the time fuckery.
Fifth episode is the one in the mirror void.

Saru sounds like his nose is pinched when he talks. Which it probably is under the prosthetics but they didn’t make it sound natural. I got to episode 3 or 4 this season and can’t even hate watch it anymore. It’s so boring and dumb.

It's still a step up from last season, which was 13 episodes and felt like it was 30

Yes. Last season was the closest I ever got to just giving up on the show entirely. Almost nothing happens in Season 4 except for the 10C overarching plot, some dumb poo poo with Book and the scientist, and I don't know, Saru and the Vulcan lady?

Funny how as a kid you'd want a Worf or Data, but as an adult I'd just want Lwaxana, Crusher in Mok'bara outfit or Troi Cellular Peptide Cake figure with Real Mint Frosting Action.
