www posted:netcode in this game sucks it's actually really good. With latency, there's always gonna be some level of bullshit where the game state doesn't perfectly reflect what you see. But Overwatch goes with "favor the shooter," so if you click the right pixel on your screen, you 100% get a hit. That's good, that's the most fair option, even if it means sometimes you see yourself dodging but get hit instead.

And once you learned to strafe-jump, there was this gliding rhythm to the game, almost like flying, and the really good players could move a little faster and turn a little sharper through graceful play. Patch notes: Good news! We removed trillions of team comps from the game, and added another sniper, who is also another healer that can't replace Mercy/Lucio. also McCree's right click is still pointless, but we made him better at midrange sniping, a role that no one needs, and he still can't do his job as an anti-flanker.
