I think I saw a thing where the lead dev said his favorite game that he was the best at when he was younger was Half Life 1 deathmatch, and if that's true then Overwatch makes a lot more sense

In 2016, Blizzard Entertainment released an fps in which you can only change your mouse sensitivity using a slider that doesn't even display the exact value it's on. They have also said they hope this fps will become a popular "competitive esport" game.

demos just record inputs and gamestate, and you replay them by running those things back through the client. They're trivial to include in a game and way less computationally intensive than taking a video of the screen
