 but even so, nature finds a way. The first episode is charming as heck. Chika is a good lead, Dia is wonderfully angry, Riko is cute, Yoshiko has the best chuuni voice, and Ruby's introduction give me some hope for her. It's all super pretty. The animation seems comparable to second season OG LL, but seaside backgrounds have a much higher threshold for prettiness than the city. The CG is acceptable; it looks to be at about the same level as OG s2, but with more skill used to mask its weaknesses. It's interesting to see the differences between the anime and manga. They don't seem as pronounced as with OG LL, but it definitely gives a bit of a different impression of some characters.  Dia

Quick first episode reactions: You is a very good friend. Hanamaru: zura. Ruby isn't as grating as I feared she'd be even considering that reaction. RIKO WOW well then Kanan might be a bit older than the other two third-years? Mari's brief amount of personal music seemed neato. I hope that keeps being a thing or at least gets extended. Dia has Nozomi's wind powers. Chika you precious dorky child. Yohane is as perfect as I was hoping.

Live thoughts post: Missing the bus is never a good way to start a term. Student Council pres on that antagonist role again. SHE HAS HER OWN HELICOPTER. I too break the ice with talk of idols. Chika is incredibly eccentric, but extremely honest. Start:Dash is such a good song. Dia don't hurt yourself. You is such a good friend.  Application form.Otonizaka sure has some top tier music talent. I like you Riko. Hand in haaaaaaaaand CG much smoother in this than early Love Live; practice pays off. Straight shot down in the happiest way I have ever seen. Aqours is good. This is going to be a fun ride.

OP cg >>> insert song CG imo. Though I do agree in wishing they hadn't retread the "student council prez is the roadblock to establishing the idol club" beat. I can't immediately think of something to replace that though.
