Many people have died over the issue, American ignorance does not mean that it is unimportant and a genuine apology is good to have for those who can't just shrug it off.

Feeling that people being willing to apologise and correct mistakes is a bad thing is probably a problem with you and not the show. Nerdy guys trying their best to make a podcast that doesn't exclude people is actually refreshing and a good thing. You always have the option not to listen if you find it unbearable
